Paulding County Hosts 30th ADAD Event

Paulding County hosted its 30th presentation of Alcohol/Drug Awareness Day (ADAD) for local students. Through interactive workshops and engaging discussions, students were empowered to make informed decisions and resist the allure of drugs and alcohol. The program's long-standing commitment to informing youth about the dangers of alcohol and drug use emphasizes Paulding County's desire to create a healthy and thriving community.

Floyd County Honored with Delegation of Chaplains

Floyd County officials were presented with a delegation of Chaplains from the General Inspectorate of Police of the Republic of Moldova. The delegation commends the partnership and cooperation between the two entities.

Lowndes County Emergency Management Department Leads Session During the National Hurricane Conference

At the 2024 National Hurricane Conference, Lowndes County Emergency Management Director Ashley Tye had the opportunity to present on Hurricane Idalia and its effect on Lowndes County. The presentation highlighted the importance of collaboration between emergency management and volunteer organizations during hurricane recovery.

Conference Mail Outs on the Way

Be on the lookout for your conference registration box. Counties should expect to receive their materials by next week. Included in the box are tote bags, a special conference giveaway item, and other important conference materials. Be sure to bring your bag to Chatham County, you'll need it as you move around the conference. Name badges and wristbands will be available for pickup onsite at the conference registration desk in the Convention Center. We look forward to seeing you in Savannah/Chatham County!
