Here are just a few of the upcoming programs. Please visit our Events Calendar for a full listing.
10/3 & 10/4: Fire Safety StoryTime (12:45PM): Join us for a special storytime celebrating fire fighters and firetrucks. Learn all about fire safety, meet some real life fire fighters and see a firetruck up close! We'll start in the children's program room and move outside to explore the firetruck.
10/14: Community Costume Share (10AM-1PM): Costume Share Day! Come pick out a new-to-you costume while supplies last! One per person, please. This program relies on donations. We are collecting clean costumes and accessories at the library from September 18- October 12, in all sizes.
10/21: Special Effects Makeup Workshop (10AM): Ages 8+ (teens and adults welcome too!), join professional puppeteer and filmmaker Alex Thomas for the perfect pre-Halloween workshop! Participants will learn to create trauma effects like cuts, scars, burns, bruises, and more using a combination of special effects makeup, and non toxic household materials. Students will be creating effects on their own skin. Registration required.
Tuesdays at 3:30PM: Teen Afterschoool Hangout: Teens ages 13-17 are invited to spend their after school time at the library. Each week we will have board games, video games, craft supplies, snacks, and more available to teens to enjoy. We will also have special craft days, movie days, and even pizza days. This is a drop-in program so no registration is required and teens may arrive/leave anytime during the program.
