Spend your weekend in Downtown Garland: Shop, seek and explore!

Small Business Saturday

Kick off the holiday season with an all-day shopping experience on Small Business Saturday in Downtown Garland!

Check in from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, right outside Latham Bakery, 700 Main St., for a complimentary hot drink, a special holiday ornament and a scratch-off ticket to redeem that day at a Downtown business.

Find the Flamingos!

Grab your magnifying glass and find the flamingos hidden within the painted drawings across Downtown Garland!

If you can find seven flamingos, your detective skills will earn you a free prize. Stop by the Visit Garland office at 211 N. Fifth St. with photo proof of your findings, and get a free Downtown Garland tumbler and key chain!

Downtown Garland Scavenger Hunt

Learn about local history while supporting Downtown Garland businesses!

Visit the Landmark Museum at Heritage Crossing, 393 N. Sixth St., between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, to get your scavenger hunt clues, lanyard and starting pin.

Head to the business you think is the correct answer. If you're right, they will give you another pin. Once you have all 10 pins, return to the museum for your prize!

TxDOT Virtual Public Meeting

Through Dec. 2

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Dallas District is partnering with the North Central Texas Council of Governments to offer a virtual public hearing on the district’s transportation projects, programs and policies affecting bicycle use on the state highway system. The virtual hearing will be available through 11:59 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2. Flu Shots and Bivalent COVID-19 Booster Available at Garland Public Health Clinic

This year's flu vaccine and the bivalent COVID-19 booster are available at the Garland Public Health Clinic. Flu shots are available for adults, children and seniors who are insured. Low-cost flu vaccines for uninsured children and adults are also available. It is recommended that individuals wait at least two months after completion of the primary COVID vaccination series or their most recent booster.
