Garland Continues Storm Recovery
As the City of Garland recovers from the storm that hit early Tuesday, May 28, hundreds of City staff continue to work around the clock.
A list of frequently asked questions, including "How can I get help removing debris from my property?" and "Are there resources available for storm victims?" is available online.
Residents with property damage to their homes or businesses are being asked to complete the Individual State of Texas Assessment Tool (iSTAT) damage survey. Learn more.

Garland Public Health Clinic Offers No-Cost Back-to-School Vaccinations This Summer
Garland Public Health Clinic is offering no-cost vaccines for children and adults enrolled in the Vaccines for Children (TVFC) and Adult Safety Net (ASN) programs through the Texas Department of State Health Services.
The clinic is located at 206 Carver St. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Be sure to bring all shot records for the visit.

Garland Youth Council Applications Close Friday, June 7
The application period to become a member of the Garland Youth Council is open now through Friday, June 7. Members will receive an education into the various workings of City business and have access to voice their particular ideas and concerns within City government.
Prospective members must reside in Garland and be in grades 9-12 during the 2024-25 school year. Members will be appointed by the Garland City Council in July.

CBS 11 covered the surge in lost pets flooding the Garland Animal Shelter & Adoption Center following the devastating storms that hit our community Tuesday, May 28. More than 70 animals have been brought to the shelter since the storms. Watch the video or read the story online.
You can view all the animals currently at the shelter online. If you spot your missing pet, call 972-205-3570 and select option 2 to schedule an appointment. The shelter has also put out a call for foster homes to aid with the large volume. If you're interested, email AnimalServices@GarlandTX.gov with the ID number for the animal you are inquiring about.
