Greetings from the Gardens!
|
|
Despite the summer's heat, we're having a great garden season, making connections and sharing vegetables and garden tips with each other and the community.
In the next few months, we'll finish up the peak harvests and put the gardens to bed. We hope you can join us to help wrap up the season, share in the harvest, and work together as a community fighting hunger. Thanks for all you do!

Our Garden Education team is delighted to be hosting Erica McCoy, an Emerson Fellow with the Congressional Hunger Center. Erica will be working with our Seed to Supper program to adapt it specifically for immigrant and refugee communities in Portland.
"My name is Erica McCoy and I hail from Carthage, MS via Riverside, CA. I graduated from Stanford University in June where I majored in Earth Systems with a concentration of Sustainable Food and Agriculture and minored in Art Practice. I have many interests and wear different hats but I am extremely passionate about food justice as well as environmental justice and how climate change affects minorities and the poor."
