PITTSBURGH, Pa. (May 2, 2024): The National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) welcomes back Gaming Laboratories International (GLI®) as a trusted partner for its Summer Meeting, July 17-20 at Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh.
GLI’s annual Regulator Seminar, co-located at NCLGS Summer Meetings, continues the best-in-class educational opportunities afforded to our legislators and regulators at NCLGS events. The July 17 afternoon seminar will be open to all NCLGS-registered attendees. It will immediately precede the opening reception, which is sponsored by GLI.
“At GLI, we work closely with regulators, legislators, suppliers, and operators to help them stay ahead of the curve to explore and embrace new gaming technology with confidence through ongoing training in our GLI University® program. We are thrilled to continue our partnership with NCLGS to provide the latest information on technologies, policies, and challenges to empower legislators to make informed decisions that will shape the future of gaming in their jurisdictions,” said Joe Bunevith, GLI’s VP of Government and Regulatory Affairs.
You can register for the GLI regulator seminar and view the NCLGS agenda and committee content for the Summer Meeting on the NCLGS website. Early-bird registration rates are in effect until May 15. Additionally, a hotel group room block is available at The Landing Hotel, which is connected to Rivers Casino. Attendees are strongly encouraged to book early to secure their accommodation because space is limited and will sell out fast.
The NCLGS semiannual meetings attract state legislators as well as regulators, gaming operators and suppliers, attorneys, lobbyists, media, and other stakeholders to discuss all aspects of regulated gaming. The meetings help state legislators from across the country establish sound, effective gaming policies.
NCLGS attendance continues to grow; the recent Winter Meeting in Fort Lauderdale continued the trend of record attendance by attracting more than 300 people, and NCLGS meetings now consistently draw more than 100 legislators and regulators.
NCLGS, founded more than a quarter-century ago, is the only organization of state lawmakers that meets on a regular basis to discuss issues related to gaming. NCLGS neither promotes nor opposes gaming but is focused on proper regulation and promoting best practices in the governance of this important industry. NCLGS meetings are organized and produced by Spectrum Gaming Group, which serves as NCLGS Executive Director.
