July Chamber Breakfast – Please plan to join us on Wednesday, July 19th, 7:30 am at Medella Vina Ranch, 4450 S Houghton for our monthly membership breakfast. This month’s speaker will be Sharon Megdal, Director of Water Resources Research Center, University of Arizona. With water resources having a major impact upon the growth of the desert southwest, this should be a very timely topic.
Membership Survey – In the near future, you will receive a Survey Monkey survey regarding your membership to the Vail Chamber. Please take a couple of minutes to complete it. Your responses will be used to guide our organization.
Incorporation – The final proposed boundaries of the Town of Vail have been submitted to Pima County. We are now waiting to receive the final estimated population and the number of registered voters within the area. The Pima County Board of Supervisors will validate the petition on July 11th which will allow the beginning of obtaining signatures. A minimum of 10% of the registered voters will need to sign to place the initiative of the November ballot. We have until August 8th to obtain those.
Block Party – A block party to celebrate Love Vail will take place on Saturday, July 15th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm between the tracks (next to the Chamber Office). There will be music, bounce houses, food trucks and an overall great time. It is open to anyone interested.
Annual Meeting – We are working on the Chamber’s annual meeting. If you would like to be one of our sponsors, please contact Sharon at the Chamber office.
