Maximize the benefit of your GSAR Membership Directory by adding your photo, updating contact info

GSAR has begun production of the 2024 Membership Directory. Hundreds of members missed out on the full benefit of the directory last year by not uploading their photos! Make sure you add your photo and update your contact information before the Thursday, Feb. 29, at noon deadline. All members are encouraged to check to ensure their information is correct. Follow these easy steps to get the full value from your directory entry:

Pay CNYIS semi-annual bill by March 15 via your member portal

The CNYIS semi-annual invoice was posted to each subscriber's account in the member portal on Feb. 15. There was no increase in fees for 2024. The fees must be paid on or before March 15 via the member portal to avoid late charges and service shutoff. Please note: If you have a credit card on file for auto payment, please make sure it is up to date.

A late fee of $30 will be added to delinquent accounts on March. 18. All fees must be paid on or before March 31 to avoid service interruption. MLS shutoff for agents will take place on April 1 and a $75 fee will be added. This must be paid to reinstate your membership. Office shutoff will occur on April 11. No fees will be waived.

The GSAR Main Event will be on April 10 from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Embassy Suites-Destiny. In addition to the trade show, the featured speaker will be Darryl Davis, who will present "Mastering Buyer Agency." The cost is $40 for members through March 19, then $55 through April 9. MLS Tip

GSAR/CNYIS staff no longer able to retreive passwords

As part of the CNYIS's multifactor authentication (MFA) security update, GSAR/CNYIS staff will no longer be able to see your password for accessing the MLS dashboard as of Feb. 22. If you forgot your password or you have failed the MFA process, staff will be will send users a recovery link that is good for up to 15 minutes. It is important to make sure your member record contains your current email address and mobile number if you use your mobile number for MFA on your account. At this time, the recovery link will only go to an email.

Standard of Practice 12-10 REALTORS®’ obligation to present a true picture in their advertising and representations to the public includes Internet content, images, and the URLs and domain names they use, and prohibits RealtoRs® from: 1) engaging in deceptive or unauthorized framing of real estate brokerage websites; 2) manipulating (e.g., presenting content developed by others) listing and other content in any way that produces a deceptive or misleading result; 3) deceptively using metatags, keywords or other devices/ methods to direct, drive, or divert Internet traffic; or 4) presenting content developed by others without either attribution or without permission; or 5) otherwise misleading consumers, including use of misleading images.
