April 23, 2024 (Atlanta, GA) - Gwinnett Soccer Academy (GSA), a Nike Premier Soccer Club, is pleased to announce that we will be expanding our elite and recreation level programming to a new “East” branch at 1780 Old Salem Rd, Conyers, GA 30013. Previously, the community was served by Rockdale Youth Soccer Association (RYSA) for 50 years. While we may have been competitors on the field, the GSA and RYSA communities have always worked hand-in-hand to serve youth in Metro Atlanta. We look forward to renewing the spirit of the community and elevating youth soccer in the greater Rockdale County area.

Registration for 2024-25 Competitive Tryouts for all GSA locations East (Conyers), North (Dacula/Lawrenceville), and South (Lilburn) is now open, and registration for Fall 2024 Recreation level soccer will open later this month. GSA is in the process of preparing the facility for kids to return to play. This includes the grass being properly maintained, staff being hired, and thoughtful programming being initiated. There will be plenty of opportunities this Summer to re-introduce the facility to the new GSA Family. Recreation coaches can volunteer through the normal registration process.

New GSA Leadership:
We would also like to take the time to congratulate our first GSA East Branch Director, Dusty Fouser. A dynamic figure whose journey in soccer coaching began in 2012 with the Rockdale Youth Soccer Association, Dusty, started his career as a boys' academy coach which quickly blossomed into a profound passion and unwavering dedication to the art and science of coaching and developing young players. Dusty's commitment to the sport led him to swiftly transition coaching from a mere hobby to a full-fledged career.

With each passing year, Dusty's expertise and leadership within the Rockdale Youth Soccer Association expanded, earning him prestigious directorship roles within the club as the Boys and Girls Select Director from 2011-2015. He transitioned to the Boys Director of Coaching from 2015-2017 along with being the club tournament director and director of camps.
In 2017, Dusty joined GSA’s coaching staff, and quickly earned a leadership role as the Boys Academy director at GSA South, which is well known for its boys academy products such as USMNT and Nashville SC Player, Walker Zimmerman. Dusty will help align GSA East with the same culture that has been successful at our North and South branches while tending to the inherent uniqueness of a new location. Dusty's pursuit of excellence continued with the acquisition of multiple coaching licenses culminating with his Director of Coaching License obtained in 2022, which further solidified his credentials and expertise in the field.
