FREE LUNCH!
We need volunteers for serving our students in the cafeteria. The sign up genius is up and "hungry" for moms, dads, and grand friends to help serve our students.
This is a long standing tradition, directed by our PVT (parent volunteer team).  Please click here to sign up! (link has been updated to make signing up easier). We can't wait to see our old friends and meet new friends in the cafeteria. This is a great experience to get a peek into high school life at GRCS. Some parents do it once per week, others twice a month. Whatever works best for you and your schedule. Thank you for your service! See you soon!

Depositing money into your student's account: Deposits may be dropped off at the school servery, Cup 'O Joe coffee shop, or made online at sendmoneytoschool.com. Deposits made online incur a service charge each time. Those dropped off at the school do not. Please make checks payable to "GRCS Food Service."

Questions may be directed to Nancy McCarthy (616-574-6027).

From the Tech Department

Hour of Code
Dear Parents: We live in a world surrounded by technology. And we know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly hinge on understanding how technology works. But only a tiny fraction of us are learning computer science, and fewer students are studying it than a decade ago. Each year early in the month of December, the Hour of Code is celebrated. It started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science. It has since become a worldwide effort to promote computer science. Encourage your child to check out the tutorials and learning activities at any of these websites: If you have any questions, feel free to email Jane Elzinga (jelzinga@grcs.org), GRCHS Learning Commons Coordinator.
From the Counseling Office

Please visit the Counseling Department website for the latest information from the GRCHS Counseling Department, including curriculum and class information, ACT and SAT testing information and prep classes, college planning guides, and much more.

  • 97% of students said they would recommend Summer Session to their friend
  • 20% of our incoming 9th grade class took a course
  • Students in the ACT Prep class increased their ACT Score by an average of 3.5 points
  • Students' primary goals in doing Summer Session: "get ahead on graduation requirements," "get acquainted with the high school," "make room in my schedule for more electives"
