GNF Members Update 17 June - Issue 46

Dear Member,

As we eagerly await confirmation that the Government will formally allow all tourism and hospitality businesses to open on 4 July, today's update is quite succinct and more about local matters than Government guidance.

Discover Guide 2020
We are pleased to announce that Places To Go will start distribution of the guide from Monday 22 June . Their delivery team will be taking Covid-secure precautions, the guides have been in storage since before lockdown and will be delivered in whole boxes (116 guides per box).
As agreed at meetings, because the guide contains maps, a gazeteer of towns and villages, and lots of information on what to do, where to eat and where to stay they make the ideal Covid-Secure single use information pack. Order your guides from Places To Go by: Email: placestogo@btconnect.com or tel: 01258 860077

C-19 Consumer Tracker Week 12 Report
Highlights from this week's report are:
  • Younger consumers more likely to "splurge" as lockdown lifts but are the most likely to be missing an overseas holiday
  • Lead times for attractions shorten again helped by the reopening of Zoos
  • Lead times for staycations also shorten but unfortunately still no change in short-term intentions
The report includes lots of other interesting background data on consumer intentions.
