Following a recent visit to South Africa to prepare for our first GLOBALX event we received a lot of feedback to shorten the GLOBALX distance. Due to the tough terrain we're decreasing the distances as follows:

  • Kid's distances remain the same.
  • Sprint distance: swim 500 meters, MTB 15 Km and trail run 5km.
  • GLOBALX distance: swim 2km, MTB 35 and trail run 10km.

We realize this may disappoint some athletes however this is the overwhelming consensus. As such the cost of excavating, cutting and preparing the course will be less so we're pleased to announce a reduction in entry fees, which are as follows:

  • Kids entry fee R150.
  • Sprint entry fee R450.
  • GLOBALX entry fee R750.

Since we have to redesign the courses, we need to obtain permission from new Buffelspoort land owners. Unfortunately, this does not leave us enough time to meet our date of March 12 and 13, 2016, and we have to postpone to April 23-24, 2016.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. As a token of our appreciation for your understanding we are offering entry discounts to GLOBALX BUFFELSPOORT as follows:

  • Kids R25 discount: Use coupon code KID16.
  • Sprint R50 discount: Use coupon code SPT16.
  • GLOBALX R75 discount: Use coupon code GLX16.

These discounts expire on Feb 19th so take advantage of them before they expire.

Our goal at 11global is to provide races that meet our athlete's expectations and hope these changes will be well received.

Sincerely,
11global.
