, our Annual Awards Gala celebrates the work of Hispanics in construction throughout the state. Each year our gala is a sold out event that attracts hundreds of industry professionals, contractors, as well as leaders from the private and public sector.

Start the evening with cocktails and
hors d'oeuvres from 6:30pm to 7:30pm for networking and pictures. Dinner and awards start promptly at 7:30pm followed by live music and dancing.
All funds raised at this dinner benefit the annual programs that support the development of Hispanic builders and trades.

Nuestra Gala anual celebra el trabajo de los Hispanos en la construcción en Georgia. Cada año la Gala es un evento que atrae cientos de profesionales de la industria, contratistas y líderes de los sectores privados y públicos.

P2K TURNS 20!!!
Congratulations to our board member and sponsor, Precision 2000 (P2K), on its 20 years of successful business in Georgia!
Their anniversary celebration, held on May 31st at the Georgia Tech Student Center, was attended by over 100 guests including many of Atlanta's business and community leaders.
During the event Guiomar Obregon and Carlos Sanchez unveiled the company's new branding centered around their long-time nickname P2K, now part of their refreshed logo and visual identity.
"Achieving 20 years in the construction business is no easy task" said GHCA Chairman Wilson Tomala, "we join in congratulating P2K and their team for reaching this important milestone".
P2K is an award-winning Latino-owned company that provides construction services in public spaces and planned developments at locations like airports and military bases and for various cities. The Company focuses on civil infrastructure and transportation-related projects.

WORKPLACE SAFETY: A TOP CONCERN
We are proud to announce that our upcoming STEP (Safety Training Education Program) launches in conjunction with OSHA's Safe and Sound Week in August. This four week course is intended to help you through the process of updating or creating a formal, written safety plan for your business.
A Safety Plan is esencial for companies looking to enter into large scale construction projects. Having one sets your company apart from many competitors and adds value to your organization and is an indicator of your commitment to safety.
During these four weekly workshops, participants are led by industry experts through several key areas of the safety plan with classroom time given to begin the writing process with help from instructors.
We are proud to join in with OSHA on this important initiative and invite you to participate in the STEP Program (Safety Training Education Program) in August.
The STEP program will take place at the following location:

Estamos orgullosos de anunciar que nuestro próximo STEP (Programa de capacitación en seguridad) se lanzará en conjunto con la Semana de seguridad y solvencia de OSHA en Agosto. Este curso de cuatro semanas está destinado a ayudarlo a través del proceso de actualización o creación de un plan de seguridad formal y escrito para su negocio.
La semana Safe and Sound comienza el 13 de Agosto como una iniciativa nacional para crear conciencia sobre los programas de seguridad y salud entre empleadores, supervisores y trabajadores con el objetivo de disminuir y eliminar lesiones o enfermedades en el lugar de trabajo en conjunto.
Estamos orgullosos de unirnos a OSHA en esta importante iniciativa y lo invitamos a participar en el Programa STEP (Programa de capacitación en seguridad) en Agosto.
