Recruiters and HR professionals gathered to talk about our Talent Attraction Toolkit and the release of the 2024 Great Falls Livability Magazine, part of our effort to help local businesses attract the talent they need for key positions.

1) Clearwater Credit Union has purchased the former Hardee's property in downtown Great Falls to redevelop into a new branch. This has been one of the sites we have been targeting for investment. See TheElectric's BusinessBites.

2) Congratulations to the Wagon Wheel Bar and Grill in Choteau on recently opening their doors. The Wagon Wheel was one of the presenters at this year’s Ignite event – the owners put a considerable amount of work and capital into Choteau’s newest eatery. Congratulations to Harvest Moon Brewery for being featured in the Montana Craft Beer Connection’s Spring 2024 issue!

3) KRTV ran a story about our partnership agreement with Lethbridge Economic Development. Download the agreement here.

4) Our Great Falls Regional APEX delivered a presentation to the 341st Contracting Squadron at Malmstrom Air Force Base (AFB) outlining APEX services, our role in connecting businesses with government agencies through matchmaking events and networking opportunities, and how we assist Montana businesses in achieving contract readiness. Together, Great Falls APEX and the 341st Contracting Squadron are paving the way to help businesses actively seeking to secure contracts with Malmstrom AFB. Whether you're a new or seasoned contractor, to learn how to access bid opportunities at Malmstrom AFB and gauge your contract readiness, contact Shannon Clancy at SClancy@GrowGreatFalls.org or 1-406-590-1184.

5) We recently received a request for additional information regarding a State RFI that was submitted a few weeks ago. We are thrilled to receive such engagement and interest in our market. It's truly encouraging to know that our partners are willing to offer their support whenever we reach out to them for assistance. Their collaboration and support are invaluable to us as we work towards our goals.

6) Our Small Business Development Center (SBDC) team provided assistance to an entrepreneur from the Blackfeet Indian Reservation with a food truck startup idea. Leveraging LivePlan, a top-tier business planning software, we helped lay the foundation for a comprehensive business plan and financial projections for the food truck venture. If you're considering starting or expanding a business and need to create a plan or financial projections, our SBDC offers LivePlan free of charge to our business advising clients. Don't hesitate to contact Rich for a demo at 1-406-836-2078 or reach out to him via email at RGannon@GrowGreatFalls.org.
