The GENEDGE Roadshow stopped over at the Vanguard Brewpub and Distillery in Hampton, VA, early last month. Helping foster invaluable conversations with Commonwealth manufacturers, events like these not only help manufacturing companies learn about GENEDGE—they also help GENEDGE develop the right tools and resources to better serve and support its members.
Randy Thomas, Owner, The Vanguard, and GENEDGE client Bill Cumbie, CEO, Pancopia, spoke at the Hampton Roadshow; Thomas A. O’Grady, Senior Project Development Manager, Hampton Economic Development, and Christopher R. Tillett, Business Development Manager (pictured) also gave remarks at the event.
Some key takeaways from the Hampton Roadshow include:
Passion - The dedication of time, resources, and skills to stay the course and grow is etched into everything that Commonwealth manufacturers do.
Capital Access - Attaining capital when needed to continue growing, funding innovation and technology, and staying competitive is essential for VA manufacturers.
Resources - Workforce development, supply chain resources, and additional tools help pivot when redirection is needed.
