Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco
Scheduled for GCVCC Town Hall
The Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a special digital town hall with Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco. Sheriff Bianco will be providing an update on the state of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The virtual town hall will be held on Thursday, January 14, at 11:00 AM. This event is free to attend, please register in advance.
$575 Million Added to State Small Business Recovery Plan
Yesterday, Governor Gavin Newsom released a preview of his budget plan to help California businesses recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. The Governor’s Equitable Recovery for California Businesses and Jobs plan contains business and workforce recovery elements, including adding $575 million to the $500 million previously allocated for the California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant.

Shopping Local is so important to our local economy here in the Coachella Valley. In conjunction with the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce Shop Local campaign, News Channel 3 has launched CV Local Links, an online directory for local businesses.
New Non-Profit Thrift Store to help Coachella Valley Seniors
Elder Love USA is opening their first non-profit thrift store in Palm Desert, CA. 100% of the proceeds goes to funding their mission of helping local seniors with in-home support services. They will open February 1, but are accepting donations now.
Indian Wells Announces Farmers Market
The City of Indian Wells is welcoming a Certified Farmers Market. The farmers market will be held on Thursdays from 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. October through May, starting January 7th, 2021. It will be located at The Villages Shopping Center, 74895 Highway 111.
SunLine Refueled Launches
SunLine Transit Agency has launched SunLine Refueled. SunLine Refueled incorporates new transportation trends and alternatives, from microtransit to more direct and express service routes. The four pillars of SunLine Refueled are: a Consolidated Fixed Route Network, SunRide, the 10 Commuter Link and the Route 1X.
