It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Michael (Mike) Crone. Mike was a cherished member of the Golf Course Builders Association, serving on the GCBAA Board of Directors from 2010 to 2012, with a brief return in 2016. He contributed immensely to our industry for nearly 44 years, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of working with him.

A dedicated member of GCBAA since 2000 and a longstanding member of GCSAA for over 25 years, Mike's commitment and passion were evident in everything he did. During his tenure of over a decade with GCBAA Charter and Certified Builder Landirr, Inc., he exemplified professionalism and excellence in golf course construction.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mike was known for his love of motorcycles and his warm, welcoming demeanor. At meetings and gatherings, his presence brought joy to all, with his infectious smile and genuine camaraderie, he was a friend to everyone he encountered.

Mike's legacy will endure in the respect and pride he brought to our industry. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Let us honor Mike's memory by continuing to uphold the values he cherished and the standards of excellence he set forth. Our thoughts and prayers are with all that knew and loved him.

Rest in Peace and Godspeed, Mike.

At this time, a memorial service has not been scheduled, which will take place in the coming weeks/months. The GCBAA Office will pass along any memorial service and memorial information as we receive it.
