The Green Bay Innovation Group hosted a luncheon on Monday, Aug. 9, Evolution and Expansion of the 5P and Converting Industries: Meeting Demands for the Next Decade. (Photos from the event are below.) The luncheon was a kick-off for the Converters Expo at Lambeau Field, where over 700 people were expected to attend.

Women in the 5P Industry (Wi5P) is a new group grown and developed from the networking of GBIG. The focus is to attract, grow, and retain women of all ages in and careers in the pulp, paper, printing, packaging, and plastics industries. We plan in-person and web-based networking events, quarterly newsletters and spotlighting women in their career growth in our local area.
Cocktail Hour Briefing about Employment Regulations
You're invited to a Cocktail Hour Briefing on Tuesday, Aug. 24, presented by Davis & Kuelthau, attorneys at law. The topic is: Developments and Outlook on Employment Regulations under the Current Administration. Registration is at 3pm, presentation is 3:30-4:30pm, and cocktails and light snacks are 4:30-6pm at Hagemeister Park, 325 N. Washington St. Green Bay. Register by Friday, Aug. 20.

Warehouse addition for Neway
Neway Packaging Corporation in De Pere is planning a 28,870 sq. ft. pre-engineered metal building warehouse addition. Keller Inc. is the architect and general contractor for the project scheduled to begin in October and be completed by early 2022.

Appvion promotes Katie Sell
Appvion Operations, Inc. announces the promotion of Katie Sell to Product Manager of their flagship suite of products. She will be responsible for helping to take Appvion's innovative direct thermal solutions to market and growing customer engagement. Katie joined Appvion in 1999 as a Customer Service Representative. She spent nearly ten years in Appvion's technical service group before joining the product management team in 2014.
