A Note from Marty Ochs
The Green Bay Innovation Group and other supporters donated $30,000 in 2022 to local Food Pantries, Homeless Shelters, Community Outreach Programs and Non-Profit Organizations. One of the recipients was Apricity, a Neenah company providing treatment, employment, and support services to those impacted by substance use disorders. Through the magic of Christmas, a matching donation turned GBIG's donation of $2,500 into $5,000.

Thanks to our 2022 sponsors for their support. Half of our Sponsorship revenue goes back to our communities! Register as a sponsor in 2023 by choosing one of three options: Bronze, Silver or Gold Annual Sponsorships.

Truly,

GBIG Success Story Update
Wisconsin is recognized as one of the largest regions for the 5P, Converting and Supporting Industries.
We are the place to do business! The Green Bay Innovation Group has had an exceptional 2022.
GBIG NEWS Update: Corrugated
We have seen in the container board sector some market weakness in the past quarter due to slower demand and price increases due to destocking and elevated inflation. We should see the market for the first quarter being stable, declining inventories and shutdowns. However, we are seeing increased capacity with new mills announced along with a number of companies closing down older facilities! Wisconsin should be very concerned with a lot of older board and corrugated plants!

Box Latch's TikTok Video
Box Latch had never considered TikTok as a marketing option. The company's introduction to this platform occurred as a result of a podcaster stopping at their table at the PackExpo Emerging Brands Summit and asking if he could shoot and share a video. The video went viral, purchases doubled in the next 25 days (although not all were attributed to the video), and CEO Jim Wilson was invited to speak on a podcast and at a conference. Read more about this surprising turn of events.
Quad Plus Troubleshooting Story
Quad Plus understands the importance of thoroughly testing new equipment so problems can be solved during the acceptance testing phase of a project. One non-woven manufacturing facility enlisted the help of Quad Plus troubleshooting experts to diagnose and solve issues with brand-new machinery. The machines were still in the acceptance testing phase, and the facility was experiencing problems, primarily with system faults when attempting to operate the line at full capacity.

Stop Outsourcing! Own Your Hiring
“You can’t outsource thinking,” is one of Bill MacPherson’s principles. Bill, Managing Director of Mercer Celgar, a global leader in the pulp industry, says organizations should be fully engaged in attracting and hiring talent.
