Upcoming Events

We want to share with you some of the exciting events and activities that we have planned for this year! To kick things off, we recently went to see a re-imagining of "Three Sisters" at the Young Center for Performing Arts, which was an amazing experience. But that's just the beginning! We have a lot more planned, including a guided tour of the AGO, a Curious Minds lecture at HotDocs, a Tall Ship cruise, a wine tour, and at least one trip to see theatre at Stratford.

In addition to these fun outings, we will also be giving back to the community by volunteering at the Daily Bread Food Bank. We hope you're as excited as we are about all of these upcoming events and can't wait to share these experiences with you!

What's New With Our Members

Musings and Meanderings

At retirement, many of us have discovered new hobbies and activities that have reignited our creative spirit. We want to celebrate this creativity by showcasing how various members have been spending their time, whether it's painting, writing, dancing, learning to play an instrument, or taking up a craft. In this newsletter, we are shining a spotlight on Lina Medaglia's writing. Her work is a testament to the power of creativity in retirement. If you have a creative pursuit you'd like to share with us, please let us know. We'd love to feature you in our next newsletter. Contact us at feedback@gbcra.ca

We are pleased to announce the release of the latest chapter of "Musings and Meanderings," a series that shares the stories of GBC retirees and their contributions to the college. In this chapter, hosted by Crystal Kotow-Sullivan, we hear from retired ECE Professor Maria Ciampini. Maria shares her retirement journey and how she has taken up a new vocation in photography, encountering a few surprises along the way. This chapter is a must-listen for anyone interested in the experiences of GBC retirees. You can find all five chapters of Musings and Meanderings on our website. www.gbcra.org
