Letter from the President

Dr. Chad Stone

Dear Friends,

As we approach the end of another remarkable year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the accomplishments and challenges we have faced together. It has been a year of growth, resilience, and innovation, and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved.

First and foremost, I want to express my deepest gratitude to all of you, our esteemed members, for your unwavering support and dedication. Your commitment to GASSP has been the driving force behind our success. Together, we have tackled numerous obstacles and emerged stronger than ever.

One of the highlights of this year has been our continued focus on membership. We have embraced new technologies and adapted to the changing landscape to better recruit and serve our members. Whether it was expanding our website, or introducing new membership levels,  we have strived to provide you with the tools and opportunities needed to thrive in your school.

We have remained steadfast in our commitment to the students and leaders of this great state.

Our community engagement efforts have also reached new heights this year. We have collaborated with many organizations to make GASSP Better Today Than Yesterday!

Looking ahead, our future is so bright because of great leaders like YOU.   We will strive to foster a sense of belonging and collaboration within our community, creating spaces where ideas flourish and partnerships thrive.

As we conclude this year and embark on a new chapter, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for your trust and support. Together, we have achieved remarkable things, and I am confident that our collective efforts will continue to drive us forward.

Make each day #BTTY!

Letter from

President-Elect

Kevin Gaines

What a time to be joining GASSP!! Often times as an administrator it can feel like you are on an island. It does not have to be that way. Joining GASSP allows you to network and connect with administrators all over the state.

I am looking forward to becoming President of GASSP at Summer GAEL. I would like to thank all of my GASSP colleagues over the years that have been influential to me in preparation to be President. I am looking forward to seeing GASSP continue to grow throughout the state. We have a great organization and I am looking forward to working with our Executive Director and Board of Directors.

IDEALS Foundation Donates Life Skills Resources for 2023-2024 School Year

Are you aware that the IDEALS Foundation was asked by the Ga DOE to develop a series of life skills resources for Georgia students? And because of this joint effort, IDEALS is donating these resources to assist Georgia public schools in helping students develop the life skills needed to live productive and meaningful lives.

These video programs were designed with the following features:

·       No teacher prep is required

·       Student presenters

·       Interactive student exercises for application

·       Magic trick included at end of video for student’s entertainment

There is a specific video package for freshmen and specific package for high school students.

IDEALS also has available its unique What I Wish I’d Known series that includes:

·       What I Wish I’d Known About High School (for freshmen)

·       What I Wish I’d Known About College (for seniors)

To learn more how to take advantage of this offer go to www.nextstepprogram and click on Curriculum tab and watch a sample video on Developing Your Personal Brand. You can also reach out to Jack Williams at jackw@idealsleadership.org
