New Event Series - Speak Easy!
When: February 28th, 6-8pm
Where: L'Artisteria Pizzeria
We introduced our new event series to our Non-Germans out there, or the Germans who haven't spoken German in a while. At our first event in February we had the chance to enhance our German language skills while enjoying a delightful slice of pizza and a few drinks, all while networking at L’Artisteria Pizzeria in Brickell, Miami.
We would like to say DANKESCHÖN to all who contributed to the success of this amazing evening and are looking forward to hosting more events like this in the future.

Condor Airlines, the German leisure carrier, has launched its first flight from Frankfurt to Miami International Airport (MIA), marking a significant expansion of its North American network for the peak spring and summer travel season.
Miami joins the ranks of Condor’s year-round service destinations, such as New York-JFK, Seattle, and Toronto. The airline now operates from 18 North American cities to Frankfurt, Germany.
Condor plans to connect travelers from these cities to over 100 destinations throughout Europe and beyond this summer, and it is also launching nonstop flights to San Antonio, Texas, in May.
Condor’s new Airbus A330neo jets, with their iconic striped livery, will operate three times a week to Miami on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The GABC was invited to Condor Flugdienst GmbH MIA Miami International Airport opening on March 26th.
We are happy to welcome Condor as an old new Airline offering flights between Germany and Miami.

Seeking new Opportunities! | |
We would like to introduce Juan Matallana,
who is currently looking for a job:
To whom it may concern,
I am a recent graduate from Florida International University (FIU) who majored in International Relations with a certificate in European and Eurasian studies. I am very excited about entering this new chapter in my professional life. I am passionate about any field that is centered completely or merely related to international relations that allows me to demonstrate my acquired skills such as event planning, government relations, marketing, and analytical skills all the while continuing to gain new skills and grow professionally.
In my last position as a Marketing Associate for the German-American Business Chamber (GABC). I assisted throughout the entire event process which included brainstorming, planning, coordinating, and implementing various events such as networking events between GABC members, networking events between multiple European Chambers of Commerce, and the annual GABC gala. Another aspect of the position was utilizing various tools such as Constant Contact and Canva in order to effectively market and inform our members throughout all our platforms about upcoming events, new members, and German-United States relations news. This position demonstrated how I could use my expertise in international relations and relate them to different fields to complete the tasks at hand all the while becoming more knowledgeable about different areas of work.
Additionally, in my role as an Office Intern for the Consulate General of Spain in Miami, Education Office, I was exposed first hand to how international relations are practiced given that I was involved in the process of presenting individuals with their Spanish educational documentation. This position is also where I mastered my skills in MS Office and was introduced to making and editing promotional social media content about studying in Spain and educational outreach programs such as the North American Language and Culture Assistants Program (NALCAP). As a Miami native and international relations specialist, I believe I can bring a certain perspective that can be significant and valuable in any position. All of my past work positions have been instrumental in me not only discovering new career interests but also acquiring a wide range of skills that I believe would be beneficial in various diverse fields.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Juan Matallana

Innovation, network, training, fun:
This is German Real Estate Day 2024!
Over 60 program highlights, 70 top speakers, over 50 exhibitors, 5 stages and two network hotspots: for the 100th anniversary of the Immobilien Verband Deutschland (IVD), the IVD is celebrating a very special real estate day in a very special location: On June 6th and 7th, 2024 the IVD will be at the Bergson Art power plant in Munich. Keynotes, workshops, training, network meetings, best practices and party: The IVD offers new impulses, contacts, further training and fun for two days!
As the 2024 Global Coordinator for the National Association of Realtors (NAR) for Western Europe, I am delighted to attend this event. Additionally, I am an international member of the IVD. In June, I will also be attending real estate events in London, Great Britian and Valencia, Spain.
It’s intriguing to note that real estate markets in both the US and Western Europe face similar challenges: lack of inventory, rising interest rates, and a significant need for affordable housing. By sharing knowledge and collaborating, we can learn from each other and develop effective solutions.
