Yasin Freuen, the visionary founder of KEB-UP Sandwiches & Shakes, was born in Bremen, Germany, and has been a resident of South Florida for the past decade. With a rich German-Turkish heritage, Yasin possesses a deep understanding of authentic European cuisine, particularly the beloved Doner Kebab. In 2015, he established Spitfire Doner Kebab in Miami Beach, a venture that quickly gained popularity for its genuine flavors and quality ingredients.


A pivotal figure in the success of Spitfire was Yasin’s business partner, Thomas "Tom" Baur, a well-known attorney in South Florida. Unfortunately, Tom passed away in 2018, a loss deeply felt by his family, friends, clients, and the German community in Miami. Despite this setback, Yasin’s commitment to his culinary dream remained unwavering.

In 2020, Yasin made the difficult decision to sell Spitfire Doner Kebab. However, his passion for bringing authentic European Doner Kebabs to the United States never waned. In 2024, he launched KEB-UP Sandwiches & Shakes in the heart of downtown Boca Raton, at Royal Palm Place, 179 SE Mizner Blvd.


Yasin’s dedication to authenticity is evident in every aspect of KEB-UP. Drawing on his German-Turkish roots, he ensures that each product is crafted with the utmost authenticity and care. From house-made bread to hand-stacked meat cones and traditional sauces, every element is meticulously prepared to deliver the true taste of Europe to South Florida. The restaurant imports original spices from Germany and uses only simple, high-quality ingredients to ensure an unparalleled dining experience. Open seven days a week, KEB-UP has quickly become a beloved spot for those seeking genuine European flavors.


With the success of the Boca Raton location, Yasin is already planning to expand KEB-UP to more high-value locations, including Miami, West Palm Beach, and Orlando, bringing the authentic Doner Kebab experience to even more people in Florida.
