Yom Kippur: High Holy Day Family Experience

Thursday, September 16 - 11:00 AM

In the Courtyard

Children of all ages and their grown-ups are invited to spend time on the holiest day of the year singing, praying, and thinking about how we can fix our mistakes in the new year.

Households will be seated separately; children must stay seated throughout. Masks required for age 3 and over.

Advance registration required.

Registration closes Tuesday, September 14.

The administrative offices will be closed as of 12:00 PM on Wednesday, September 15, and all day on Thursday, September 16.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PROOF OF VACCINE

Shaar Hashomayim will require proof of double vaccination against COVID-19 to attend any of our prayer services. We are committed to using every possible means of ensuring the health and safety of our members.

If you provided this proof as part of your High Holy Day registration, then no further action is necessary.

Otherwise, please choose one of the following ways to submit:

a) send a copy of the certificate to events@theshaar.org.

b) bring a paper copy to the Shaar office during weekday business hours.

c) bring your phone to the Shaar Security office (weekday business hours) with the Quebec VaxiCode app and our security guard will register your proof.

Please enter at 425 Metcalfe Avenue. Doors will open approx. 10 minutes before the service begins. We continue to require masks and distancing for all in-person services.

Age 2 - Grade 3. Sukkot art activities and pizza dinner. $10 per person; $25 per family;

Free for children under 2 years; Grandparents are welcome. In the Deitcher Courtyard. Adjacent to 425 Metcalfe Avenue. The event will be cancelled in case of rain. Registration required.
