Strays on Streetcorners is finally here!

Our largest fundraiser of the year is here! Keep an eye out for our volunteers on June 6, 7, and 8 as they collect donations from drivers at major intersections around Windsor and Essex County.

Volunteers will be out 7:15-9:15am and 3:30-5:30pm on Thursday June 6 and Friday June 7, as well as from 10:30am-2:30pm on Saturday June 8.

If you haven't stopped by the Yay for Strays Cat Cafe yet, you're missing out! Located on Ottawa Street, patrons first enter the store and cafe side, and can pay an admission fee to go into the cat lounge, where adoptable feline friends from the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society roam free! This allows people to get to know the adoptable cats’ real personalities, and has helped find homes for 22 cats since opening in February 2024. There are a variety of comfortable seating options to sit with the kitties, play with them, or just simply enjoy time in their presence.

Join us to brush up on leash skills and manners THIS Thursday!

Does your dog need to work on their leash manners? This seminar will help you learn how to teach them! Only $15 to attend, either in person or online, on Thursday, June 6. Please note that this seminar is for humans only...we will have follow up training available later to help you teach your dog your new skills. To sign up call 519-966-5751.

We are now accepting applications for Cat Enrichment volunteers!

Our Cat Enrichment Volunteer Program is one of our most popular volunteer positions, and as such, it's often full. However, we are happy to share that we are currently accepting applications for cat enrichment volunteers for all morning (8am-10am) shifts Monday through Sunday. Volunteers must be willing to commit to one shift per week for one year. Spaces are very limited, so apply today!

Meet Maxwell!

Hi there, I'm Maxwell! I'm a 10 year old American bulldog mix. I'm a sweet, friendly soul, and can be a bit goofy at times! I'm smart too, always eager to learn new things. Cuddles? Oh, I'm a big fan! I'm just a sweet and happy medium energy guy!



I am a Special Paws pet in the Signature Pets Program because I have allergies that will likely require some extra care to keep under control and managed. Since I am a Special Paws pet, my adoption fee is up to you!
