Moody's Investors Service Upgrades Town of Fuquay-Varina


Moody's Investors Service has upgraded the Town of Fuquay-Varina's general obligation unlimited tax credit rating to Aaa (previously Aa).


This upgrade reflects our Town's strong financial standing, fiscal stewardship, and economic growth.

Seeking Artists for the Artist Village


Celebrate Fuquay-Varina is an annual event celebrating all things Fuquay-Varina. As part of the Celebrate Fuquay-Varina festival, The Artist Village brings together artists from around the area with wonderful handmade wares. This event is in person on Oct. 5. The online shops will open on Oct. 2 and remain open until 4 pm on Oct. 5. Apply to be an artist vendor. Deadline is August 23. Art Vendor Application

Temporary Trail Closings


Jeff Wells Trail: Starting July 15, a portion of the Jeff Wells Trail will be closed for a utility line replacement. The trail will be closed until the repairs are complete. Residents are encouraged to use the detour route.

Carroll Howard Johnson Trail: Starting July 24, several trails at Carroll Howard Johnson Environmental Education Park will be closed for utility construction. The park remains OPEN! For your safety, please obey signage, barricades, and barriers. The trails will reopen when construction is complete.

Child Safety Seat Inspection Program


Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among children ages 2 to 14. Our firefighters are certified car safety seat technicians and are available at all four fire stations to assist you with installing your new car seat, answering any questions you may have, and checking to see if your current car seat is properly sized for your child. More information on the program.


Personnel is available every day of the week unless they are away from the station on a call, from 8 am until 12 pm and then again from 2 pm until 8 pm. We don't take appointments! Simply visit the station closest to you. List of stations
