13th Payment for Qualifying Retirees will be Deposited Earlier this Year—with Your July 1 Payment

Retirees who have received pension payments for at least 12 months in a row are qualified to receive a supplemental payment every July. We refer to this as the 13^th Payment.

This year, 13^th Payments for qualifying retirees will be deposited earlier, on July 1, in the same deposit as your July 1 monthly payment. In the past, IMRF made a separate deposit for the 13th Payment in July. Now, the July 1 monthly payment and the 13th Payment will both be included in a single deposit.

For 2024, the 13^th Payment amount for qualifying retirees will be 25.000% of the June amount.

Your 13th Payment amount will appear as a separate line item under the Allowances section on your July 1 payment statement. The Retiree Lifestyle Workshop will be offered online in an interactive webinar format again this year, with the opportunity to ask questions. These webinars are for IMRF retirees only and are presented by the University of Illinois Extension Educators. The programs are free, but they require registration.

Each topic will be presented virtually three times on three different days to best accommodate your schedule. Please check the time your session begins. The session will either start at 9:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. (CST).

Everyone is aging, and there are many changes that happen along the way—physically, mentally, and financially—in about every aspect of our lives. Why can change be so difficult to manage? Does the clutter in your home cause you stress? Is the clutter a cause for conflict with other family members? Do you want less clutter, but you are too overwhelmed to begin? Many of us struggle to keep up with the clutter in our lives, including all of the financial papers and other documents we accumulate. In this session you will learn ways to organize your life to clear the clutter and de-stress. (Runs for 1.5 hours)

You Can Now Self-Register for an Account in IMRF's New Member Access System

IMRF began transitioning from our previous online Member Access website to our new Member Access website in March of this year.

If you have not registered for an account in the new system, please self-register in the new system by clicking here and following the prompts on the self-registration page.

Please note: When you create a new Member Access account, the system will assign you a new User ID, and you will create a new password. Your old User ID and password will not work to sign in to the new Member Access.

After you self-register, when you want to log back in:

If you don’t know your new User ID, input your Key Identifiers on this page and the system will provide your User ID. You can also find your new User ID in the confirmation email the system sends you when you create your new account.

If you forget your new password, input your User ID on this page and the system will help you reset your password.
