Prayers for the holidays

While Christmas is traditionally a time for friends and family to gather and celebrate, it's a painful reminder to others who've lost people close to them.

I think about my dad, Anthony, who passed away at Thanksgiving time, and my mom, Pearl, around Christmas. My memories of my son, Jason, whose brief life on this earth touched so many.

Aunts, uncles, grandparents, family, and friends who are no longer with me.

I'm praying for you.

In Their Hands is the nonprofit that I started this year. So what is this about? I'm glad you asked.

Mission

The mission of In Their Hands, Inc., is to create a partnership with the community to enhance literacy skills.

Vision

We envision a community where all individuals can have the opportunity to further their literacy skills and positively affect their world.

We are currently working on developing programs involving:

Book Nooks

Story Strolls

Virtual writer's groups for kids (Summer of 2023)

Support libraries, schools, and families.

Provide books in braille.

Partner with other organizations

Provide Resources, and more.
