As an active member of MCCW starting in the late 1990s through our last (online) Forum in 2020, Lynda participated in many faith and Bible studies, served as the Liturgy Coordinator for two worldwide conferences in 2008 and 2010, has spoken/led retreats on various spiritual topics at MCCW conferences and at various military chapels, and has taught many faith formation classes from pre-Kindergarten to Confirmation and OCIA classes.
As the U.S. Military Coordinator for Mothers Prayers, an international, ecumenical movement for women, a position she held for 20 years, Lynda presented many Mothers Prayers services at conferences, and also facilitated countless more services at several U.S. military faith communities, either personally or by training other moms to facilitate at their chapels.
She is the author of one book (so far!), Drowning In Lemonade – Reflections of an Army Wife. The book addresses the role her faith has had in dealing with the challenges of living an Army life. Lynda also has written for Blessed is She, Women In the New Evangelization, and Ave Maria Press.
Lynda holds a Master of Theological Studies from the Franciscan School of Theology at the University of San Diego. She blogs at www.drowning-in-lemonade.com, her Instagram account is @lynda.withawhy, and she hosts a podcast on Spotify called Grace Notes!
Lynda loves Jesus and her fondest desire is to encourage others in their faith journey toward Home. She prays often that the things she does will glorify God and advance His Kingdom.
