Dear Nova Family,

As I write this brief update, I am praising God for each of our ministry partners and champions who have committed to the mission of Nova Women’s Health! Thank you for your prayers, sacrificial giving, and countless volunteer hours! The purchase of our building was just a short 10 weeks ago. We are targeting to begin serving women in our community within 10 more weeks! We are humbled by what the Lord is doing, bringing clarity to our decision-making along with able hands and hearts to complete some of the required renovations. Thank you!

Building Renovation Update

In a relatively short time, much has been accomplished, including interior and exterior waterproofing, which required us to run new pipes and drain lines around the entire perimeter of the structure; replacement of several sump pumps, hot water tanks, and air conditioning units; stripping wallpaper, carpet, and tile floors; removal of drop ceiling tiles, obsolete cabinetry, and miscellaneous plumbing; and consolidation of four gas lines into one. Words cannot express our heartfelt thanks to those who have spent their entire summer giving of their time to make all of this happen.

The Knights of Columbus have begun raising funds for the ultrasound machine, which will allow us to serve our patients with a state-of-the-art unit that has the ability to produce incredible images of life in the womb! Thank you to this wonderful organization!

Local business owners have generously donated and provided office furniture, plumbing items, custom cabinetry, gravel and stone materials, and interior and exterior signage! There have been countless volunteer hours given by both skilled tradesmen and willing apprentices! It is absolutely inspiring to see how the Lord is drawing so many to give!

And finally, to those of you who stocked our freezer with over 40 dozen cookies, thank you! Because of you, we have been able to provide a bit of hospitality to show our appreciation to both guests and volunteers.

Continue to pray that we will reach the woman who truly believes that abortion is her only option; our desire is to show Christ’s love and compassion to a hurting world. Please add these specific prayer requests as you lift Nova to our Heavenly Father:

1. Marketing is foundational to reaching the abortion vulnerable woman. Pray that Nova partners with the right firm to effectively help our patients to find us first so that we can provide her with all the information she needs to make an informed decision.
2. We estimate $200,000 in construction and renovation costs at Nova Women’s Health. In order to start serving as quickly as possible, a large portion of this expense is required to install new flooring and execute paint and finish work in areas that call for significant prep. Please consider giving toward this renovation cost, enabling us to open this fall.
3. Adopt-A-Room Campaign: We have created a “vision” board for each room at Nova, including the cost to renovate and furnish that room. We are offering an “Adopt-A-Room” opportunity for you to sponsor a room. So far, generous donors have committed to covering the cost of the waiting room, two consultation rooms, and the baby clothing room! We are so grateful for the hearts of these silent givers, who have agreed to directly shoulder some of the financial burden. Make a difference by helping us to outfit these rooms so that they are a place of peace and beauty as our patient walks through her decision-making process. Also important are the administrative and community room areas of our building. Much of the Lord’s work is done through our faithful administrative staff. 4. Nova housewarming gifts: You asked us to provide you with a list of practical items that will be needed to effectively run our ministry. We prepared an Amazon list for your consideration. No gift is too small and will help us to focus our resources on our priority, which is patient care.
5. Monthly giving is what sustains our ministry. Please pray and seek the Lord to commit to regular giving or consider increasing your giving as we prepare to launch this fall! We are praying that the Lord provides all that is needed to meet Nova’s annual $500,000 operating budget after renovations are completed.

I opened my Bible this morning, and asked the Lord to show me what He wanted me to share with you. He brought me to the following verse:

Dear friends, thank you for joining us in response to God’s call to action! What a privilege to be used by Him, building His vision and rescue mission in our very own community! May the Lord bless you and keep you as you continue to seek His face.
