2024 Bond Election - No Tax Rate Increase!

Election day - May 4

The City of Rowlett will hold a Bond Election on Saturday, May 4, featuring a $51.35 million bond package in four propositions to fund Transportation, Street and Alley projects; Parks and Recreation projects; Public Safety projects; and Street Lighting for Lakeview Parkway. Each of these projects was carefully considered and proposed by the citizen-led Community Investment Program Task Force. The proposed 2024 Bond package, if approved by voters on May 4, will NOT result in an increase to the City property tax rate.

Check out the 2024 Bond Election Voter Education video starring your very own Rowlett City Council (for which there was absolutely NO budget - watch the video, you'll understand the reference!).

Check out the links below for information on...

Proposition A - Transportation, Street, and Alley Projects

Proposition B - Parks and Recreation Projects

Proposition C - Public Safety Projects

Proposition D - Street Lighting for Lakeview Parkway

Is This A Code Violation?

Stagnant swimming pools and stagnant bodies of water are in violation of Rowlett Code of Ordinances, International Property Maintenance Code, Sec 78-121, Subsection 303.1

Stagnant swimming pools are not only a safety concern due to lack of water clarity but also a public health concern. Stagnant water is the perfect breeding ground for mosquitos, which can harbor mosquito-borne diseases, such as West Nile Virus. More info...
