Citizen's Fire Academy
Ever wonder what it might be like to be a Firefighter?
The Rowlett Fire Department is holding a free 10-week academy so you can find out! Sessions offer adults in the Rowlett community an interactive, in-depth, insider’s view of the services provided by the RFD. Participants receive fire safety education, fire safety training for both the home and the workplace and hands-on experience in emergency operations. The class culminates in a “burn day” where participants don gear and put out a fire. Come join the fun, make new friends and enjoy the experience of a lifetime.
The academy runs May 30 – August 1. Registration is now open - contact Julie Ward at 972-412-6230 or jward@rowlett.com to sign up!
