Citizen Self Service Payment Method Discontinued April 28
Do you use our online Paymentus customer utility bill payment portal? If so, you can stop reading right now.
If not, and you currently are using the Citizen Self Service portal - heads up - the City is undergoing a financial/utility billing system upgrade (originally scheduled for last fall), and the Citizen Self Service payment method will be discontinued on April 28. Once this happens, all customer utility online payments will need to be made solely through our Paymentus utility customer payment portal. More info...

Thank a Public Safety Telecommunicator
Rowlett Communications Center will be celebrating National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week from Sunday, April 14-Saturday, April 20. This week is dedicated to honoring the men and women of 9-1-1 who tirelessly serve our community by answering emergency calls, dispatching Law, Fire, and EMS, and providing life-saving assistance to those in need.
Our Telecommunicators are a dedicated group committed to serving our community, and we want to make this week special for them. Each year, our Telecommunicators receive small tokens or gifts from our center and local responders, along with food and drinks as a special thanks. Is This a Code Violation?
Not only can high grass/weeds over 12" in height harbor rodents, snakes and mosquitos, block visibility for drivers, and look unsightly, but they can also be a fire hazard and are in violation of Rowlett Code of Ordinances, Chapter 78-121, Subsection 302.4.
High grass/weeds violations receive an annual notice, meaning if the violation occurs again within one year of the notice of violation, the city may use a contractor to abate the violation and any cost incurred for such service shall be paid by the property owner. More info...

Food For Fines Month
April is Food for Fines month at the library. Each package of food brought to the library during the month of April will erase $1 off your fines. Food for Fines does not apply to fees acquired from damaged or lost materials. Items collected will be distributed to food pantries at Life Message, Hope in Hand, and the North Texas Food Bank.
