April 12 | Issue: 31 VIEW ON THE WEB

Dear Pleasantdale Community,

I hope you had a restful and recharging spring break. As we transition to warmer temps and longer days, we start to think about all summer has to offer. Now that the snow has finally melted and the days are getting longer, we are setting our sites on exciting summer experiences. We want to celebrate our success this year and the start of summer break with a district outing to the ball field. (Impact Field: 9850 Balmoral Ave, Rosemont, IL 60018)

We have worked with the Chicago Dogs Baseball team to secure a Pleasantdale section for the game on Sunday, June 2, at 3:00 PM. Tickets are $12.00 on the third-base side (section 116). All attendees will receive a commemorative Chicago Dogs baseball cap.  Additionally, this game falls on “Family Day,” which means the Dogs will offer pre-game catch on the field, player autographs (from 1:30 - 2:20), $3 bottomless popcorn, and $3 bottomless soft drinks.  If your family wants to attend this event, but the cost is prohibitive, please reach out to me (dpalzet@d107.org) as confidential financial assistance is available.

This outing is a great way to kick off the summer and enjoy the company of your friends and neighbors. Tickets can be purchased through the Chicago Dogs Secure Portal by CLICKING HEREPlease use the offer code PDAL when placing your order to secure our group discount.

This is a great Pleasantdale tradition, and we hope to see you at the ballpark on June 4!

Have a great weekend,

Dave

Synopsis: What begins as a neighborly overture between a painterly pig and an artsy cow escalates into a monumental modern art mess! Before you can say paint-by-numbers, the two artists are calling each other names and building a fence between them. But it turns out that what divides them also reunites them.
