Spring has finally arrived! We have many exciting events planned during the next two months. Parents are being invited to share in our students' great learning. First grade students shared their strong reading and writing skills, and second graders showed off their amazing non-fiction writing skills with their Bird Books. Look for invitations to celebrate students' successes in the other grade levels.
The first grade play, "Pajama Party" was wonderful! Our students put on outstanding performances with singing and dancing! Thank you to Mrs. Fries for all her efforts! We are so proud of the students!
We have the fourth grade New Jersey Day on May 31st and Kindergarten "Animal Extravaganza" on June 5th. The fifth graders are getting ready for our LEAD Graduation on May 25th
and will be visiting Valleyview on May 29th. Our fourth and fifth grade mural unveiling will be on June 15th. Fourth and fifth grade parents please sign up to help paint, this will be a wonderful addition to our school. The second grade is working hard on their persuasive writing and are sending letters to teachers convincing them to read their favorite books to their classes. Third grade is preparing for their trip to Native Lands and are fully immersed into learning about fractions. Please check the FridayFolder for other exciting events including upcoming trips and celebrations.
We received a beautiful thank you post card from the Georgie Badiel Foundation in which they explained that the funds raised will be used to restore four wells bringing fresh water to thousands of people! Riverview Rockets have made a difference!
Ms. Jamison was awarded "Promising Practices" from
character.org for creating a Social Emotional Learning Nook with wonderful resources for our students and staff on teaching social/emotional skills. Congratulations, Ms. Jamison!
The fourth grade girls loved the STEM trip and our students will continue to be involved in STEM activities not only in the Science Lab but through the Computer Lab and Library as well.
We celebrated Administrative Professional's Day and want to acknowledge and thank Mrs. Bias and Mrs. Stark for all that they do each day! They help ensure our school runs smoothly and take care of our students and staff!
A reminder that May 9th is a minimum day for teacher's professional development.
We are so proud of the strides students are making! They are not only showing great growth academically but socially and emotionally as well. Students are truly exhibiting ROCKET behavior! It's been a positive and productive year so far! Thank you parents for all your support. Enjoy the warmer weather!
