Important Notice for Parents/Guardians of 6th - 8th Graders
Communication regarding student academic progress is a vital part of the success of middle school students. The winter break marks the half-way point of marking period 2. Student grades in middle school can change on a daily basis, so we have often found that the formal progress reports do not accurately reflect the student's grade on the day the progress report is posted. The most current grade information can be found by accessing the Genesis Portal. As you are aware, families have access to the Genesis Portal on a daily basis. The staff at Valleyview works hard to ensure that it is updated regularly. We encourage you to continue to monitor your student's progress at any time on the Genesis Portal. For the 2019-2020 school year, Valleyview will no longer post formal progress reports. Formal report cards will still be available for each academic marking period. See academic schedule link below. If you have any difficulty accessing the portal or have any questions regarding the portal, please email
parentportal@denville.org, be sure to include your student's name and school in the email.
