Priests, Priesthood, and Prayers
Dear Parish Family,
as I mentioned last week, Fr. PJ and I are in NY for Paulist Ordination and Jubilees.
Please pray for Dan Macalinao, CSP, and Chris Lawton, CSP who will be ordained Paulist Priests this Saturday at 10 am New York time. See links on our website and app.
And pray for all of us Paulists as we gather for
pre-ordination dinner where we celebrate ALL our Anniversaries, but especially 50, 40, 25, and 60.
I also need you to pray for Fr. Tom Holahan, CSP, who was going to be filling in for us. Fr. Tom had a fall this week, rupturing his patellar tendon. He has headed home to NYC to consult his doctors for surgery. We will have three substitute priests for Masses this weekend. Pray for them, and for those to be ordained priests for the Archdiocese of Chicago this Saturday.
As I also announced last week, as of July 1, Old St. Mary's will have 3 new Paulists in residence. Two of whom you already know, and one is brand new.
Fr. Bob Cary, CSP, a senior Paulist priest, will be returning to Old St. Mary's in residence.
Fr. Danilo Macalinao, CSP, newly ordained, and who served OSM as a novice, returns as full-time Associate Pastor.
And Fr. Rich Andre, CSP, will be the new Pastor. Rich comes to us after being Director at the Paulist Center in Boston. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, he has been a Paulist Priest since May of 2012.
There it is, special for you in the Parish. The Social Media posting on this and all the other Paulist changes will come after Ordinations.
I am very excited to be able to tell you about this new team. I hope you will keep them, and all the rest of us (going through changes) in your prayers. Know that you are always in our prayers.
