Blackflies are in the air, which means, at least in my head, I’m in full summer mode. It’s another month or so before the Library’s summer events get underway, but we’re finalizing plans, getting handouts ready, and preparing for the inrush of donated books we’ll start accepting on June 29th.

Holiday Closure

The Library will be closed on Saturday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day. The book drop & sale in the front vestibule are available 24/7 for your convenience.

Pickleball!

Been wanting to try out Pickleball, but not sure you want to commit to buying gear? We've got you covered! Now included in our Library of Things is a Pickleball set including two racquets and four pickeballs. Give it a try, and see what you think!

Crafting with Amanda

Perk up your garden with a new flower pot! Join Amanda on Saturday, May 18th from 10:30-12:30 to paint a terra cotta plant pot. Pots will be provided but feel free to bring your own. Registration required. Email Amanda for more information.

Matinée Café

The Matinée Café is a monthly movie showing for adults on one Sunday every month!


Mark your calendars--the next Matinée Café will be held on Sunday, May 19th. The house will open at 2pm, and the movie will begin at 2:30. This month's movie is The Taste of Things (2023, PG-13).

Bakers Wanted

We're on the lookout for volunteers to make baked treats for the monthly Matinée Café. If you'd be interested in helping out, let us know!

New to Medicare Workshop

Lori Raymond, Medicare Coordinator from Servicelink will be coming to the Library on Tuesday, June 4th at 11am to provide information regarding Medicare, Medicare options, Medicare Savings Program and other programs offered through Servicelink. Questions are encouraged!

Mah Jongg

Mah jongg is back at the Library! Stop in on Mondays and Fridays from 1:30-4:30 to play.

Preschool Story Hour

Join us Wednesdays at 10:30am for an hour of stories, songs, activities, crafts, and more! For children ages 2-5 and their caregivers. Check our Facebook page for a preview of each week's theme.

Cribbage

Drop in at the Library on Wednesdays from 2-4pm for Cribbage! Stop by and play the classic game with other folks. New players are always welcome to learn the ins and outs of the game.

Crochet with Amanda

Interested in learning how to crochet? Have a project you want to make and don’t know how to start? Join Amanda at the Library on Thursdays at 3pm to learn how. Please bring your own crochet hooks. Please email Amanda if you are interested or have any questions.
