It’s finally time! Summer reading is just around a corner, with our Kickoff event happening on June 29th (which is also Ducky Day)! Here’s a little preview of what we’ve got planned for the summer.

Holiday Closure

The Library will be closed on Wednesday, June 19th, in observance of Juneteenth. The book drop & sale in the front vestibule are available 24/7 for your convenience.

Matinée Café

The Matinée Café is a monthly movie showing for adults on one Sunday every month!


Mark your calendars--the next Matinée Café will be held on Sunday, June 16th. The house will open at 2pm, and the movie will begin at 2:30. This month's movie is Arthur the King (2024, PG-13).

Game Night

Come join us for a fun time at Game Night on Tuesday, June 18th, from 5-7pm! Choose one of the many games the Library has available, or bring a favorite game from home. If you're able, bring a snack to share as well!


Get ready--Game Night will happen weekly on Thursdays during the month of July.

Crafting with Amanda

Join Amanda Saturday, June 22nd from 10:30-12:30 to make a cute tin can wind chime decorated with wallpaper and decoupage. Feel free to bring your own cans, and as always registration is required. Email Amanda for more information.

Summer Reading Kickoff

Join us Saturday, June 29th from 10:00am-1:00pm for this year's Summer Reading Kickoff! Come find out about this year’s program, sign up for summer reading, contribute to our circulation desk display, get your bookmark contest entry form, and work on the collaborative sticker poster.

Book Donations

The Library will be accepting book donations starting at the Summer Reading Kickoff event! We will happily accept donated items during Library hours between June 29-July 27.

One Book One Valley

This year's One Book One Valley selection is The Road to Dalton by Shannon Bowring. The Library has nine copies available for checkout. This year's author talk will be on October 24th at 7pm at the Majestic Theater in Conway.

Mah Jongg

Mah jongg is back at the Library! Stop in on Mondays and Fridays from 1:30-4:30 to play.

Preschool Story Hour

Join us Wednesdays at 10:30am for an hour of stories, songs, activities, crafts, and more! For children ages 2-5 and their caregivers. Check our Facebook page for a preview of each week's theme.

Cribbage

Drop in at the Library on Wednesdays from 2-4pm for Cribbage! Stop by and play the classic game with other folks. New players are always welcome to learn the ins and outs of the game.

Crochet with Amanda

Interested in learning how to crochet? Have a project you want to make and don’t know how to start? Join Amanda at the Library on Thursdays at 3pm to learn how. Please bring your own crochet hooks. Please email Amanda if you are interested or have any questions.
