Holiday Closure

The Library will be closed on Thursday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day. The book drop & sale in the front vestibule are available 24/7 for your convenience.

Well-Versed

Tune in at the beginning of June for Well-Versed, a monthly reading of poetry in the public domain. This month's theme is "Adventure Begins..."

Join Amanda Saturday, July 20th from 10:30-12:30 as special guest Jane McKenny leads a workshop in card making. Registration is required. Email Amanda for more information.

Matinée Café

The Matinée Café is a monthly movie showing for adults on one Sunday every month!


Mark your calendars--the next Matinée Café will be held on Sunday, July 21st. The house will open at 2pm, and the movie will begin at 2:30. This month's movie is Nowhere Special (2021, NR).

Donations

The Library will be accepting donations for the annual books until July 27th during Library hours. Please do not leave items in front of the door or in the vestibule while we are closed.

  • 3:30-4:45pm – Fun Friday Craft (for elementary-aged students): Faux Stained Glass
  • 5-6:30pm – Family Movie Night: Migration (PG)

Bingo Cards

Pick up a Summer Reading Bingo Card anytime during the month of July. When you pick up your Bingo card, you’ll receive a certificate for a free kiddie cone at Bobby Sue’s! Keep track of the books you read, and mark off corresponding boxes on your Bingo card as you complete them.


Once you have a Bingo on your card, you will receive a gift card for $10 to your choice of Bobby Sue’s or Amazon.com. In addition, preschoolers and kids receive a free book for every Bingo they score, up to 3 Bingos. Saturday, August 3rd is the last day to claim reading prizes.

Bookmark Contest

You have until Saturday, July 20th to submit a design for this year’s Bookmark Contest, based on the theme of “Adventure Begins at your Library.” Winners will be chosen the following week, and we should have bookmarks ready for Old Home Week! Stop by and grab your favorite, or get a complete set of this year’s winners!
