NEWS FROM THE LIBRARY FOUNDATION

Calling All Tinkerers!
Makerspace construction will begin soon and the Redwood City Library Foundation wants to create a Makerspace Community Advisory Group to help network and promote the project with the local community. We would especially like people from the MakerNexus and former TechShop communities. Makerspaces are free and fully accessible for individual and group creators, providing space for residents to work together to learn, collaborate, create, and share.
Library staff members will be responsible for developing programs and maintaining partnerships for Makerspace operations, but this advisory board will support the work of staff by helping build community relationships and promote the space to potential supporters.
In August, we will begin to document building progress and offer tours of the space. If you are not already on our mailing list, be sure to receive the latest updates on all our news by signing up here.
