Take Advantage of Vast Exposure for Your Business

The City launched its FREE Featured Business program in 2020 to highlight and honor local businesses, their goods and services and acknowledge their vast contributions to our community. Since then, the program, which recognizes Laguna Niguel brick-and-mortar businesses, has been a model for other cities to follow.

You have the chance to have your business featured with a special video on the City's YouTube channel and social media and highlighted in this economic development eNewsletter. To learn more, contact us today at econdev@cityoflagunaniguel.org.

SBA Certifications and Contracting Programs

Join the SBDC for a comprehensive two-part series hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) focusing on SBA Certifications and Contracting Programs. This online event is designed to guide small business owners through the requirements, application processes, and benefits of becoming certified under SBA 8(a), SBA Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), and SBA HUBZone programs.

In the first session on July 18 from 10 to 11:30 a.m., learn about the SBA 8(a) Business Development program, which provides opportunities for socially and economically disadvantaged small businesses.

The second session on July 25, also from 10 to 11:30 a.m., covers updates to the SBA Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Contracting Program and the SBA HUBZone program, aimed at supporting women-owned businesses and those in historically underutilized areas to access federal contracts more easily.

What You Need to Know About New Safety Initiative

The City is seeking community input for the Laguna Niguel Active Transportation Plan (ATP).

The ATP will support efforts to create safer and more equitable streets that reduce bicyclist and pedestrian injuries and fatalities while increasing mobility for all ages and abilities.

Take the Public Engagement Survey #1 to share where you would like to see pedestrian and bicycle improvements. Your feedback is crucial in identifying the needs for the ATP.

To participate and make a difference, take the survey at bit.ly/LNATPSurvey1.
