The rise of electric vehicles

With the environment a pressing concern, some governments have been taking steps to reduce their dependency upon fossil fuels. For example, the British government plans to ban the sale of new gasoline- and diesel-powered cars by 2035, while California is aiming to end its sale in the state by 2035. In Canada, the government has set targets for zero-emission vehicles reaching 10% of light-duty vehicle sales by 2025 and 100% by 2040 [1].

Canadian Electrical Contractor Discussion Group: Can You Count the Deficiencies?
Have you ever been called to fix the work of a 'handyman'?
"Was supposedly done by a"certified ' electrician....told the homeowner that he got a $266 record at TSBC. Can you count the deficiencies?"

"There is a second-panel change in the triplex also.......even more deficiencies. Think the guy was a glorified handyman. Ones not obvious: 240 BB heat hooked up 120....drier on 2p20....range on 2p50....water heater fed with 2c14 Bx on 2p15."

IBEW Members Shine at IDEAL National Championships
Like most major events over the last year, the COVID-19 pandemic put serious restrictions on the Ideal National Championships, which annually pits the top electricians from the United States, Canada, Australia, China, and Mexico against each other in skill competitions. Organizers dramatically scaled back this year’s event to comply with health guidelines.

But that didn’t stop IBEW members from continuing to dominate.
