On Saturday, June 22 come join us for the Frederick County Historic Bridge Rally. Once again, the event will be a straight-forward Time-Speed-Distance Monte Carlo style rally of approximately 75 competitive miles. There is NO unpaved this year. Many of the county's historic bridges (including its covered bridges) will be highlighted on the event. In additional, there will be an optional GTA component concurrent with the tour rally. The goal of the GTA event is to identify Main Road Determinants at selected intersections. It is meant as a learning event for those interested in course/trap rally concepts.
Then, on Saturday, July 27, run the Frederick County Shortest Distance Rally. A shortest distance rally is an untimed Road Rally following an undefined route. Instead of the usual route instructions and timing controls, contestants are given a map or maps, and a list of questions to be answered by visiting specific locations on the map. The goal is to visit all the required sites in the overall time allotted (3-4 hours) traversing the shortest distance possible while traversing the country roads of Frederick County.
