Frame Fest Southeast and event by Framers for Framers

You don't want to miss this exciting educational, inspiring and empowering event. Vendors will be speaking on hot new items, specials, sales techniques and how to integrate their exciting products into your frame shop.

Classes will be offered by Hugh Phibbs, Andy Langlois, Ken Baur, Jay Goltz, and Sondra Quatraro. Topics will range from hands-on techniques in Andy Langlois' "Fabulous Faux Finishing". Demonstration classes from Hugh Phibbs with "Hinging made Safe and Simple", and Sondra Quatraro's "Alternative Mat Decoration".
Lecture classes include "How the Frame Really Functions" with Hugh Phibbs, "How to Make Money in Framing" with Ken Baur, and what promises to be a wonderful working lunch with Jay Goltz "Going from Surviving to Thriving, how to take your Frame Shop to the next level".

Fabulous Faux Finishes

Do you sometimes struggle to find the perfect frame for your frame design? Do you have dated stock gathering dust that could do with a new look? Would you like to take your designs to the next level?

Instructor Andy Langlois, CPF will demonstrate faux finishing treatments such as weathered metals, stone, leather, and brick, that economical and easy to do. These techniques can be used to give new life to pre-finished mouldings... and even mats! In this hands-on workshop, students will learn the basics for creating realistic-looking finishes, from building up base textures to adding and defining details, and then use this instruction to practice TWO unique finishes in class- a faux verdigris AND weathered bronze finish!
