Fox Cities Chamber Submits Comments Supporting Zoning Change in Neenah
This week, the Fox Cities Chamber, along with the Northeast Wisconsin Realtors Association, submitted comments in favor of the City of Neenah amending their zoning code to eliminate the “protest petition” provision. Under the current ordinance, a small group of residents can submit a petition to the city triggering a requirement that three-fourths of the council vote in favor of a zoning change, rather than the normal simple majority. This was most recently used in the Shattuck Middle School redevelopment.

Chamber Ambassador Spotlight: Scott Jensen | |
Scott works for the Hosking Insurance Agency, a full-service insurance office specializing in personal and commercial liability insurance for residents in Michigan and Wisconsin.
Please share your favorite/most impactful moment as a Fox Cities Chamber Ambassador.
The most impactful moment as a chamber ambassador was when I attended the Ahava Salon grand opening. It was a beautiful event and listening to Bre share her story and the courage it took for her to go out onto her own was impressive. And so I like to attend the ribbon cuttings and grand openings of other small businesses because all of these entrepreneurs are taking a big leap once they go out onto their own and I want them to succeed.
How do you help make the member experience an impactful experience at the Fox Cities Chamber?
I encourage all of the new members that I meet or speak with to get involved in something. Attend the business after hours, sign up for the educational panels, or find something that they can commit to and do it. The chamber has so many programs and opportunities to build your business and grow as a person. You just have to do a little bit of work.
Learn more about Scott and read his full spotlight here. If you are a Chamber Ambassador and would like to be featured in a monthly spotlight, contact Jim Wickersham for more information.
