Leap of Kindness Day; 150 Acts of Kindness to Celebrate 150 Years

Every four years, we get an extra day on the calendar - what will you do with your extra day in 2024? This year is not only a Leap Year, but also the Fox Cities Chamber’s 150th anniversary, so we wanted to do something that ties those two special days together!

We are encouraging our members to use your extra day to do something kind for someone else and encourage everyone in your family, workplace, and community to do the same. Whatever you choose does not necessarily need to happen on Leap Day…you have 366 opportunities this year to make a difference!

Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Deliver a meal to a local police station, fire station or hospital.
  • Take flowers or non-skid socks to a local nursing home.
  • Collect food, clothing or personal care items for a shelter.
  • Offer to mow the lawn (or shovel snow) for a neighbor.
  • Give a favorite book to a friend.

Visit foxcitieschamber.com/leap-day often for more ideas!

As part of Leap of Kindness Day, we invite our nonprofit members to submit non-monetary requests (items/goods, volunteers needs, etc.) that we will post on our website. To submit your request, complete this form, or email Melissa Schamburek.
