Legislature Tackles Housing Issues


Yesterday, both houses of the legislature passed a series of bills designed to address the housing shortage in Wisconsin. While there is no silver bullet to fix this crisis, we believe these bills are a step in the right direction to break the logjam. The Chamber will continue to work with our partners across the region to ensure affordable housing is readily available to current residents and those we’re trying to attract. We look forward to continuing to work with the REALTORS Association of Northeast Wisconsin on these issues.

Register for our brand new Octoberfest Golf Outing

Appleton’s Octoberfest starts early this year with our new Octoberfest Golf Outing! Get your lederhosen on and bring those clubs to High Cliff Golf Course on Monday, September 11. This 18 hole scramble will give you a taste of what’s to come during Appleton‘s Octoberfest and License to Cruise. Beer tasting, classic cars on display, new event merchandise, and much more will be featured around the course. And, of course, we will start the golf outing with a traditional celebratory Octoberfest toast!


Cost to golf is $500 per foursome. Registration is open for golfers, and sponsorship opportunities are available. See you on the course!

Low-Cost Marketing for Your Small Business


Is your marketing budget tight or non-existent? Join us for a Chamber Grow Seminar to learn strategies to reach your audience that are budget friendly. The program is on July 12 from 8 - 9:30 a.m. at Community First Credit Union. Registration is limited to the first 100 people. Sign up is free for Chamber members, and $25 for non-members.

Applications still open for 2023-24 Leadership Fox Cities class


Apply now to be part of the Leadership Fox Cities class of 2023-24! The class gathers monthly for educational sessions focused on specific community topics ranging from human services and arts to government and law enforcement. The classes include prominent guest speakers, hands-on experiences, tours, and opportunities for relationship building. Participants are also placed into small groups and are tasked with identifying an issue or program that needs attention in the community, and then planning and executing sustainable community projects. Applications are being accepted now through June 26, 2023.

Fox Cities Chamber featured in national guide


The Fox Cities Chamber’s Connect Free membership program for small businesses is featured in the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) new Revenue Models Resource Guide, which can be purchased online.


The Fox Cities Chamber launched Connect Free in August of last year and was the first Chamber in the State of Wisconsin to offer a free membership level. Read more about Connect Free and apply online here.
