Cheers to the Chamber for 150 years!

At "Celebrate: A Toast to 150," Dustin Hackbarth from U.S. Representative Glenn Grothman’s office presented the Chamber CEO and board chair with a Congressional Commendation for 150 years of service to the Fox Cities community.

The Chamber has officially kicked off its 150-year anniversary, with plans to celebrate all year long with its members and the business community.

“We are beyond excited to be celebrating our sesquicentennial this year. This is a huge milestone for any organization, and especially for a local member-supported group like ours, started by Fox Cities businesses all those years ago,” said Becky Bartoszek, President and CEO of the Fox Cities Chamber.

“While a lot has changed in that time, I’m proud to say the mission of the Chamber has not. Our original 1874 charter outlines a focus of uniting the business community for greater economic impact, and that’s still a mission we share today. We serve as a collective voice for our members and convene the programs and services that help the community thrive.”

Get to know other members at brand new Morning Mingle

We’ve heard your feedback and have reinvigorated our former “Membership Maximizer” program to better fit your needs as a Chamber member! Starting Tuesday, February 20, we’ll be offering monthly “Morning Mingles” to give you the opportunity to get to know the Chamber AND other members on a more personal level.

The sessions will be held from 8 - 9:30 a.m. at the Fox Cities Chamber, 125 N. Superior Street, Appleton. Doors open at 7:45 a.m. Participants will have the opportunity to grab a cup of coffee, meet Chamber staff, and have plenty of time to network with other attendees. Register below!

Booth registration open for Future Fox Cities Career Expo

Fox Cities businesses can now register for a booth at our Future Fox Cities Career Expo, slated for April 9 – 10. The annual expo attracts more than 3,000 8th through 12th grade students from around the Fox Cities each year. It provides an excellent opportunity for Fox Cities businesses to connect with the future workforce, have conversations, and help fill their talent pipelines.

Employers may provide information about career-based learning opportunities available at their organization such as job shadowing, informational interviews, classroom visits, company tours, internships, summer employment, part-time employment, school-to-work pathways, youth apprenticeships, and more. These days provide up close and personal career exploration!

Help your employees become more engaged in the Fox Cities

Improve your employee retention and satisfaction with ENGAGE Fox Cities! ENGAGE provides a community immersion experience for your employees; it’s a great way to connect them with their community. Whether your employees are new to the area or longtime residents, every participant will learn something new and feel more engaged in the Fox Cities!

The next ENGAGE experience is April 12-13, with a 3 1/2 hour session on both Friday night and Saturday morning. Each session hosts 6-12 employees, and topics typically cover history of the Fox Cities, education, community service, arts, volunteering, recreation and human services. There is an introductory cost of $450/participant, which includes the opportunity to bring a guest, class materials, and meals. Learn more and register below!
