FOURTH OF JULY EMERGENCIES: WE'RE OPEN!

Barbecues, fireworks displays, parades, and outdoor celebrations. We hope you get to enjoy the annual festivities. Unfortunately, we know that curious dogs and cats can escape their parents' radar during the Fourth of July and find themselves lost, sick, and/or injured.

With the holiday fast approaching, we wanted to remind you that Animal Emergency Hospital Volusia will be open to handle any pet emergencies, along with our our sister hospital in DeLand.

So, take some much-needed time away with your families and friends. Our emergency veterinarians and professional support team are on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide emergency services if any of your patients require care.

As is the norm, we are anticipating a larger caseload over the holiday, so please inform your clients that wait times for our emergency and critical care services may be extended. Additionally, feel free to share our Fourth of July Pet Health and Safety Tips blog to minimize veterinary emergencies.

Wishing you a happy and restful upcoming Fourth of July holiday,

Diane Johnson, DVM
