Blessing and Investiture of the Brown Scapular

July 16, following the 6 pm Mass

Everyone is invited to a Blessing and Investiture Liturgy of the Brown Scapular after the 6 pm Mass on the Memorial of Our Lady of Mount Carmel at St. William Catholic Church. The brown scapulars will be provided at the beginning of the 6 pm Mass (please arrive early). Our Lady to St. Simon Stock on July 16, 1251: "Whosoever dies clothed with this scapular shall not suffer eternal fire.”

Verbally Guided Children’s Adoration

July 10, 5:30 - 6:30 pm in the Sacred Heart Chapel

Children will be guided through a themed Holy Hour with a mixture of age-appropriate prayers, songs, reflections, scripture, times of prayerful silence, and Benediction. Repeats monthly on the second Wednesday of the month. For more details, visit: or e-mail Melissa at

Women’s Catholic Scripture Study

Tuesdays, beginning September 3

St. William Women’s Catholic Scripture Study joyfully invites all ladies to participate in their study. This year's study will be Prophets and Apostles.

The Media Ministry at Saint William, which works closely with the Office of Communications and Development, is looking for volunteers. If you or someone you know is interested in serving in one or more of the following areas, please contact Tommy Sustaita >>

Back to School Fundraiser

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court 2415, in partnership with Proyecto Juan Diego, are back again this year to host a school supplies online fundraiser for children in Brownsville, Texas. Help them reach their goal of $6,000! Donations will be accepted in July.

Men: Are you being called to serve as a deacon? Project Stephen provides an opportunity to actively engage men who are discerning their call to a deeper relationship with God through service as a deacon. This is a time of prayer and reflection, and an opportunity to discuss one’s call with others.

Colorado adventure for young adults 

July 18, 7 pm - 9 pm at the Pastoral Center in Austin

Young adults (post college) are invited to join Father Ryan Higdon, pastor of St. Louis Parish in Waco, for the Frassati adventure retreat in Colorado July 28-Aug. 3. Inspired by Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, the group will spend a week together encountering Christ in his creation with his sacraments. The group will enjoy the beautiful Colorado outdoors with plenty of hiking (including a 14er!), other outdoor activities, daily prayer, and Mass.

Cedarbrake Retreats

A Summer Silent Retreat

July 12-17, Cedarbrake (Templte)

This retreat is an opportunity to learn more about God and yourself through the gift of silence. Talks, Mass, adoration, and confession will be part of this retreat. One may choose from two to five nights. Father Harry Dean and Brian Egan will lead this retreat. The cost varies depending on the number of nights.
